In the video installation ‘Fallen Imperial’ images through doors of the Viennese Hotel Imperial alternate with those of the no longer used corridors of the Flak tower (Viennese anti aircraft tower built in the second world war) the fast cutting is accompanied by female punk singers which interact with the image like in a game bay console. In this way the singers are the connection between the fictive and mutating spaces. The aim is to break up the playful pompousness of the electric, juvenile punk culture with the conservatory gaze of baroque high culture, and bring these seizures in the rhythm of the video game culture, back to common styles of fashion and emblems.
